Om du blir sjuk och behöver träffa en läkare ska du i första hand kontakta din vårdcentral. Alla som bor i Sverige kan välja vilken vårdcentral de vill lista sig på. Det gör du enklast på 1177.se eller genom att besöka vårdcentralen. Det finns flera sätt att boka tid. Du kan ringa vårdcentralen på morgonen. Ofta får du lämna ditt telefonnummer, och sedan ringer en sjuksköterska upp dig. Hon ställer några frågor om dina besvär och bestämmer om du behöver träffa en läkare samma dag eller om det räcker med en tid senare i veckan. Du kan också logga in på 1177.se med BankID och boka tid direkt, förnya recept eller läsa din journal. Om du inte har BankID kan du få hjälp på vårdcentralen. Ett besök hos läkare på vårdcentralen kostar i de flesta regioner mellan 200 och 300 kronor. Barn och ungdomar under 18 år betalar ingenting.
